USCIS Releases New Issue of E-Verify Connection Newsletter
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has released a March issue of the E-Verify Connection newsletter.
The new edition contains links to several new Form I-9 resources, including the updated Form I-9 Handbook and a fact sheet about the disposal of E-Verify records dated on or before December 31, 2006. E-Verify participating employers are reminded to download all historic E-Verify transactions from on or before December 31, 2006 by March 31, 2017.
The newsletter also announces that nearly 7000 participants registered for the USCIS Form I-9 stakeholder teleconference in January, 2017. The teleconference focused on the revised Form I-9, which was released in November, 2016.
Finally, the March edition of the E-Verify Connection announces the 18 month extension of Temporary Protected Status for beneficiaries from Yemen (from March 4, 2017 to September 3, 2018) and Somalia (from March 18, 2017 to September 17, 2018).
